Triglav national park and the Soča valley

TNP's name: According to its highest mountain, Triglav (2864 m)
Size: 4% of the entire area of Slovenia - about the size of the city of Berlin
Views: On a clear day, you can see the sea from Triglav's peak
Mountains: In the TNP, most of Slovenia's 400 two-thousand meter high mountains are located.
Lakes in or around the Park: Bled, Bohinj, Sedmera Jezera, Krnsko Jezero and other smaller lakes.
Waterfalls: Boka, Kozjak, Savica, Peričnik and other smaller waterfalls.
Climate: In winter, Alpine, but in the summer you can feel the influence of the Mediterranean climate.
Average temperatures: In summer in the valley it ranges from about 5 ºC to 20 ºC, while in winter it ranges between 0 ºC and -8 ºC. Summers are plesantly warm and winters are mild.
Precipitation: The average annual rainfall is between 120 and 146 days of precipitation.
Soča Valley: Its upper part connects three towns: Bovec, Kobarid and Tolmin
Nature conservation regime: Narrow part of the Park is regarded as a statutory nature conservation area.
Temperature of the Soča River: In winter 4 ºC, in summer 10 ºC.
